Bio
I am a creative with an enthusiasm for all art forms. My main mediums are visual art and music. Ever since my childhood, I have been fascinated with these two mediums. Many thanks go toward my observant nature as a person. Without it, I would have missed out on the intricacies of life.
Regarding visual art, my work revolves around three areas: stylized portraits, environmental concepts, as well as cartoon work/character design. With these three areas of work, I feel I can explore a variety of avenues with an underlying theme: nature. This could be nature’s tendency to reclaim what was once hers, the complex and admirable forms of the human body and visage, as well as the avenues of human society and harmony with nature that are out of reach of today’s scientific advancement. Regarding my environmental/industrial exploration, the dichotomy of nature and industry is quite an interesting one. Attempting to harmonize the dissonant qualities of either end of the spectrum provides a fun challenge for my work. Many artists before me have seemingly perfected this idea; I would like to have my go at it. My cartoon work, on the other hand, allows me to take what has been perfected by the universe and merely exaggerate it. Honing in on the small details of my ever-developing style makes for a fun process.
Regarding music, I have spent much of my life exploring the idiom of “jazz”. While I believe the training in this genre has been crucial to my musical development, limiting myself to just jazz music is not on my agenda. The music I create is a reflection of my life; however, my life cannot be fully about music. It is simply a vehicle of my expression and interpretation of the universe nd the divine; the vehicle cannot operate the driver. Getting to know the musicality that goes into the keyboard has definitely uncovered many avenues of self-discovery and discipline. I hope to continue down this path of exploration. The music I make is everchanging, as am I.
